Rare eagle owl saved by Leatherhead charity after collapsing due to lack of food

A RARE predatory bird is taking flight again after being found collapsed due to exhaustion and lack of food. Rescuers from Wildlife Aid Foundation (WAF) were amazed when a rare European eagle owl was brought into their reception centre in the town. The huge bird of prey was discovered, collapsed at the bottom of a tree in Gatton Park, Reigate, by a member of the public. Council promise potholes will be fixed by October

POTHOLES that have been an unwanted feature of Fetcham's Cock Lane for many months will be fixed by October, Surrey County Council has pledged. POSTERS carrying an anti-refugee message were plastered round The Swan Centre at the weekend. The posters included messages referring to the current refugee crisis as an "invasion", and were adorned with statements like "Europe belongs to Ethnic Europeans." Huge rise tax paid parish councils is 'Government's fault'

TAX paid to parish councils has rocketed this year, despite district and borough council tax rising at a steady rate. Increased work loads for local councils and slashed funding from central government are being blamed for the rise as some councils raised their precept – the portion of tax paid specifically to them – by more than £10,000 this year.
